All Unique.

Personal anthology and recent work blend together in Parcours d'Incidents, a series of works that began in 2019 and continues to date.  Devoted to montage techniques, the artist works with his trajectory, as a film director would in the editing room, combining works that are snippets and fragments from previous lives, both his own and those of his main interests, familial and artistic. The whole gives new perspectives to those familiar with the artist's work. For those who do not yet know him, it is a good opportunity to see a particular summary of his career.

Parcours d' Incidents, incidental journeys in English, can be read as an apt phrase to describe the balance of a life or an artistic career, but also as the terse commentary of someone who has managed to survive a catastrophe. Like Franco's own works, images and technical procedures, they imply, almost without exception, different forms of devastation: cuts, scratches, burns, tears.

The images, from sources as wide-ranging as anthropology or the popular press, are presented in a skeleton designed by the artist that abounds in the concept of encounter and in the way an image is presented so that its contemplation and subsequent memory can be different and hopefully more profound.

These aluminium skeletons coexist with a framed image which is the head that accompanies the spine of each of the pieces in the space that the artist creates from very diverse photomechanical and plastic procedures. Sometimes the works take the precise forms of editorial design, at other times the result is reminiscent of abstract expressionism. The attentive eye, however, soon discovers the images, which look like a mass grave.
